makespan

Privacy policy

Last updated: November 2, 2026. The Portuguese version prevails in case of discrepancy.

In short: makespan works without an account and without a server of its own. Your tasks, cycles, times and settings stay on your device, and we have no access to them. If you allow it, the app sends Google five usage events, so we can see where people give up before subscribing; without your permission, nothing is sent. The app has no ads, and we do not sell data.

1. Who we are

The makespan Android app and the makespanapp.com website are run by Alan Lima da Costa, an individual, at Rua Colônia Leopoldina, 194, Vila Sílvia, São Paulo, SP, 03821-020, Brazil, who is the controller of the personal data processed under the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, the LGPD). For any privacy matter, write to support@makespanapp.com.

2. Data that stays on your device

To work, the app stores in its private area on your phone:

This data is not sent to us. You can delete sessions in the history, or delete everything by clearing the app's data in the Android settings or uninstalling it.

Android backup. If Google backup is turned on for your device, Android may include the app's data in your Google account backup so it can be restored on a new device. That backup is made and stored by Google, under Google's privacy policy, and we have no access to it. You control this feature in the Android settings.

3. PRO subscription

The subscription is purchased and paid for through Google Play. We do not receive or store your card or payment details. The app checks with Google Play whether your subscription is active.

Through the Play Console, Google gives us transaction information such as order number, product, amount, date and country. We use it to manage subscriptions and refunds and to meet tax obligations. Legal bases: performance of a contract and compliance with a legal obligation (LGPD, art. 7, items V and II). We keep these records for the period required by tax law and then delete them.

4. What the app does without sending data

5. Usage statistics, only with your permission

To understand where people give up before subscribing, the app may send five events to Google Analytics for Firebase, by Google: onboarding completed, first cycle started, first cycle completed, plans screen shown and free trial started. Along with them go an app installation identifier, created by Firebase, and device information such as model, Android version, language and country.

6. When you contact us

If you write to support, ask a question or sign up for the closed test, we process your email address, your name if you give it, and the content of your message. We use this data to reply and, for the closed test, to add your Google account to the Google Play tester list.

7. This website

makespanapp.com is hosted on Firebase Hosting, by Google. It uses no cookies, no visitor analytics and no third-party fonts or scripts. As with any website, the hosting server receives technical connection data, such as IP address, browser and requested page, to deliver the pages and protect the service. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

8. Who data is shared with

Only with the providers that make the service work:

We do not sell, rent or give personal data to anyone.

These providers may process data on servers outside Brazil, for example in the United States. This international transfer happens to provide the service you asked for, with the contractual safeguards set out in each provider's terms, under art. 33 of the LGPD.

9. Your rights

The LGPD (art. 18) gives you, among others, the right to:

For the data we hold, such as messages and closed test emails, send your request to support@makespanapp.com. We reply within 5 days and, when the request requires a full statement, we send it within 15 days (LGPD, art. 19). The app's data stays on your device and is already under your control: you can export it (PRO) or delete it whenever you want. For usage statistics, just turn the permission off in the app's settings; events already sent are deleted at the end of the 2-month period. You may also file a complaint with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD). If you live outside Brazil, the law of your country may give you additional rights; write to us to exercise them.

10. Security

The app's data is kept in the app's private area, which Android protects from access by other apps. Even so, no system is completely secure. Keep your device locked and up to date.

11. Children

makespan is not directed at children under 13. Teenagers may use the app, which sends us none of the personal data stored on the device. A PRO subscription bought by someone under 18 should be authorized by a parent or guardian, as Google Play provides.

12. Data protection officer

As a small-scale processing agent, makespan is exempt from appointing a data protection officer (ANPD Resolution CD/ANPD No. 2/2022). The communication channel for data subjects is support@makespanapp.com.

13. Changes to this policy

If the app starts processing new data, for example with user accounts, this policy will be updated before the change, with the new date at the top. Relevant changes will also be announced in the app.
